Little Flower.
After that sermon last night, a sermon from a new priest, I kept thinking about flowers.
Last night was a feast day of one of my favorite saints, St. Therese of the Child Jesus. She is my favorite because she did little things for God, and with those little things, were recognized by Him. That means, He always appreciate the little things done by us. And come to think of it, she wanted to be a nun when she was just 15!
As the priest said, those little things were compared to little flowers. Flowers, no matter how small, will always be noticed, because of their beauty.
I am really fond of flowers. . . I love the way they look. Well, it is typical for a girl to appreciate flowers. But to a girl like me? - that question might be hovering inside your head. Well, I’m a girl alright. No matter what you think (Just guess why I’ve said that).
Yet, the following week, we are going to study about flowers. Botany. Again. I appreciate flowers already. I think that’s enough. But to study it? How it reproduces? What are the different parts? i don’t now if I can really understand all about flowers. Well, I have to though. And to think of it, I have to classify them. . .
Today, despite the suspension of classes (and now it makes me bored), i went to school to volunteer ( repacking goods ) for those whose been affected by the typhoon Ondoy. During this week, i always think about helping others, since i think its unfair for me to just sit around while others are tired of thinking what they were going to do without their living. And then I heard about the Volunteer program of UST. So I did really attend the work although only for a short time. And i consider it as one of my little flowers. And in the future, i will still plant more flowers.
